Other Issues in Media and Society
Me as a blogger issued to visit my colleagues' blog spaces to see what are the other issues related to Media and Society landscape and here are my favorite ones:
1. http://mediaandwork.blogspot.com/ - is Artem Ageenko's blogspot. This blog focuses on a basic introduction to how social media affects work, workspace, workplace environment, and relationships both inside and outside of the firm. The problem of female instructors being dismissed because of their private profile on the social networking site OnlyFans is among the most fascinating items I read on this blog. I believe that this case will cause individuals to understand whether personal pages on any social networking site should be used to determine if a person should be recruited, maintained in a position, or simply punished for their "activities."
2. http://drillviolence.blogspot.com/ - This is the blog of a good friend of mine Nikolai Meissnest. There he talks about Drill music, its development in the US and then in London, how it became popular among people and how it impacts society as a whole. This is very interesting how harmful it can be, but at the same time it encourages people even though there were several attempts of violence but the author says that it is very complicated to Drill artists to end up with criminal life but if they decide not to then they have to continue and survive.
3. https://misleadstatsmedia.blogspot.com/- next and even more cathing blog is Artem Skripnik's web blog about fake news, what are those, how they spread, what are the concerns and consequences and people's opinion on it. On the online spot, the author discusses a clear example of fake news related to COVID 19 and vaccination against coronavirus. He shows what are the statistics and how it impacts society in cases of the first one is fake and how Government manipulates the news in order to encourage the population to get vaccinated.
4. https://weallaremissingout.blogspot.com/ - another important issue in Media is talked out in Evgenia's blog about FOMO syndrome. In my own view, this is an essential topic to discuss because it is close to almost every social media user. Comparison of oneself to another, fear and a constant feeling of missing out that leads to loss of self-confidence and depression at the end is a dilemma that must be researched more and spoken out loudly.
5.https://onlinedatinganditsrisks.blogspot.com - the last but not least important in the list is the issue of online dating which Teresa talks about in her blog. This is the most controversial issue but is mandatory to speak about especially among female users that are more likely to get under the risk of a total stranger who turns out a violent criminal. Also, the author gives good advice for users to make a little bit more effort to investigate what the "potential" partner is looking for in order to avoid unwanted consequences.
